One of the targets of YESS are in-person meetings of young earth system scientist to talk about topics that might be neglected in classical discipline-specific conferences. In 2012 and 2014 YESS has organized workshops, 2013 YESS was co-organiser of the first ever Interdisciplinary Conference of Young Earth System Scientists ICYESS, see icyess.eu).
