YESS got mentioned & cited in the WMO “Five priorities for weather and climate research”
That were defined by during the World Meteorological Organization Science Summit this fall.

´Today’s students and early-career scientists are the future of the field. Their education and training must become more interdisciplinary, service-focused and global in outlook..´

´The WMO needs to work more closely with existing networks. For example, the Earth Science Women’s Network has more than 2,000 members in 50 countries and the Young Earth System Scientists community comprises more than 1,000 members in 80 or so countries. ´

The 5 priorities:
– Deliver science for services
– Build seamless models
– Improve infrastructure
– Nurture a diverse workforce
– Share ideas
